I have been bringing my cars to you location for years. I have 5 cars and expect excellent service, given my loyalty to your shop.
Yesterday was a disaster. I brought a car in at 7:30am and asked the manager to have the car ready by early afternoon. He said that it would be no problem. I reminded him that on Wednesday he delayed the completion of one of my other cars until the end of the day and I really need this one done early.
On Friday, I finally called at 2:30pm and was told it would be done in a half an hour. So, I arrived at the shop shortly after 3:00pm, and much to my chagrin, the car was not done. I think they had barely started. Anyway, I was promised that the car would be done quickly and that it was nearly done. Well, I sat their for over two hours waiting and watching. This was unbelievable. The mechanics were shifting back and forth among the cars, and not giving the priority my car deserved. I finally left the shop around 5:30pm (almost two and one half hours later), and missed a meeting. Now, I need to spend the weekend catching up at work given the unacceptable hold-up at your shop.
Bottom line: I am angry and disappointed. I deserve better customer service given the thousands of dollars I have spent at your shop. PROMISES NEED TO BE KEPT --- OTHERWISE, I AM TAKING MY FIVE VEHICLES AND GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE TO GET BETTER SERVICE!! PLEASE STOP THE LIES!!!!!!
I'm a new customer and requested an oil change. After they said it was complete, I was told that I have leaking manifold, valve cover and oil pan gaskets. More than $800 in estimated repairs. I left the shop and immediately went to my local mechanic. It was discovered that the oil was NEVER changed and these gaskets are not leaking and in need of repair. I returned to the shop where I physically watched the employee change the oil( which was still black). NEVER will I go there again. Disappointing.
AVOID this company at all costs. They will sneak in extra services not requested or needed in order to inflate the bill. Go in for a $200 brake job, they will add a $99 fee for brake fluid exchange (a service not needed or solicited for a vehicle with less than 30K miles).
Essentially they will take you for as much as they can, and do not explain that these services are not needed.
Joseph, the man who quoted me the job, made no effort to explain that this $99 service was not needed, he just added it to the invoice.
Hey, thieves, bleeding the brakes and topping off fluid is part of the $200 brake service, so why do you bill an additional $99.
AVOID THIS COMPANY!!! There are other honest companies in Camarillo doing the same work. Owner's replyWe always strive to make each customer happy by providing quality service at a fair price. When we know a customer isn't satisfied, we follow up and try to make the situation right.
We called Mr. Helsdon to address his concerns. A member of our staff spoke with him for 10 minutes, offering to remedy his complaint, but Mr. Helsdon was not interested. Instead, he told us he would put a banner on his car that would advise people not to come to our store, and then park the car in our lot. He then hung up the phone.
Mr. Helsdon, if you would like to discuss the matter further, please call our offices at (909)484-9497 and ask for me. Thank you. - Chris Mitsos, Vice President / Mountain View Tire
I called on Saturday knowing that they would need to order tires for a small boat trailer. I talked to Mike, I believe to be the store manager. He told me that the tires would be in on Monday between 10 and 10:30. I had some other shopping to do but went in at 9:15 and the tires were already there. I told them that I would be back later in the day. I got there just after noon. I wasn't there more than 20 minutes and the job was done. I took a book but didn't get a chance to even open it. If I had known it was going to be so quick, I would have made plans to take the boat out. Joseph and Gilbert were the two gentlemen who work at the front counter and they did a great job as well.
I'm probably filing a BAR complaint in the morning.
Brought in my vehicle and said my tires may need to be balanced and aligned. Reluctantly signed over $100 estimate for lifetime balance and alignment. Also asked to replace my wiper blades.
I drive by the location at the agreed upon pick-up time and see that it's still up in the air, so I drive home. Later on, I receive a message that I need an additional $800 in services.
I decided to just pick up the car and cut my losses. I get there and wait another hour. So, I'm roughly two hours late at this point. The car comes down. I ask for a print-out showing the alignment specs. Five minutes later, the guy behind the counter says their printer is out of toner. I shake my head, pay a TON for an alignment and wiper blades. I get behind the wheel and the wiper blades hadn't been changed. I go back in and politely ask them to do this since I paid $30 for this.
Anyhow, I reluctantly leave (it's late and almost closing time by now) knowing that the work hadn't been done. I drive off and MY CAR PULLS RIGHT at the first straight drive down the road. Also, they did a poor job with whatever work was actually done, which wasn't much else. I'll be back to get my money back and/or file a BAR complaint and share my displeasure with other members of this otherwise fine community. Owner's replyOnce this customer made us aware of the situation, we apologized for his negative experience and refunded the money he spent for his wheel alignment, tire balancing and wiper blades. The customer has agreed to bring his vehicle back at a future date so that we may complete the work properly. Shortly after this initial incident, the customer brought in another vehicle and purchased four tires from us. - Chris Mitsos, Vice President / Mountain View Tire
