Attention: Jim Mellin / Store Manager
Jim...I wanted to share with you that, since you balanced the tires on our 1998 Lexus, it has made all the difference in the world. There is no more vibration while driving on the freeways. Thanks for taking good care of us. And thanks to your mechanic, Lionel, for diagnosing the problem. You're all great to work with.
Sincerely, Paul & Joyce Labrecque |

Dear Mountain View Tire,
A Triple A truck escorted me to your Long Beach location with a flat tire. I wanted the bad tire changed with the spare and the Triple A driver couldn't find my wheel lock key. There were several people at your Long Beach store waiting for tire repair. I told Angel Marquez that I didn't want a new tire or a tire repair because I needed to get home to take our other car to drive to Pasadena. He immediately(!) found my wheel lock key, cheerfully began taking out my spare tire, and changed my tire himself. In no time, I was on my way at no charge. Angel Marquez is the greatest! Just thought I'd let you know.

February 9, 2010 Greg...I just wanted to let you know that I took advantage of the oil change offer that we are [advertising] on KFI. I have to say, it was the best experience ever. I was used to paying between $80 and $100 every 3 months at the dealership for the same services (oil, filter, top-off of fluids and tire rotation) that I paid $12.95 for at Mountain View Tire in Burbank this morning. Even more, they were pleasant, professional, and had my car ready within half an hour. In fact, I will be returning in the next few weeks to have them change out my rear brakes, and have decided to take my car there from now on for all my automotive needs. Just thought you'd like to know!

Dear Mr. Mitsos,
On this last Sunday, February 7, my wife and I were headed from Beaumont, CA to Santa Paula, CA for a family reunion. As we neared the city of Duarte on the 210 freeway, the driver next to me began honking his horn and pointing to my rear tire. I acknowledged him, made my way over to the side of the freeway and pulled over. My rear tire was half way down. We took the Mount Olive off-ramp and pulled into a parking lot. After checking the tire, I saw that there was no puncture, but I noticed the valve stem was leaking.
I really started to get worried when I realized, here we are - on a Sunday - when most tire stores or garages are closed, and we are in a city we're not familiar with. We used our mobile GPS and looked for a tire shop. The first two we passed were closed, but the next one was open, and that was the Mountain View Tire store on Huntington Drive in Duarte.
We pulled in and, as I was getting out of my truck, I was met in the parking lot by your store manager, Sam Aslanian. I explained my problem to him, where I had come from and where I was going, and Sam jumped into action. He asked me to pull around by the open stall and he had my tire off and valve stem replaced in a matter of minutes it seemed.
I told my wife I had never seen anyone respond so quickly and friendly to help someone. I went in to settle up at the counter and he informed me there was no charge; that he was glad he could help us so we could get back on the road to get to our family reunion. Mr. Mitsos, our problem may have been a minor problem, but it was a big deal to us and we cannot thank your staff in Duarte enough for what they did and how we were treated.
Sincerely, Gary & Kathleen Dunn |

To Who It May Concern,
Today I called looking for pricing to repair a flat tire. I called your location in Long Beach on Bellflower Boulevard and spoke to Earnest Selma. He informed me that he could fix my tire free of charge. I arrived at your store for the repair and, after assessing the situation, Earnest delivered the bad news. The damaged tire was unrepairable and the other rear tire had a nail and also needed repair.
Furthermore, there was considerable wear on my front tires. (He actually showed me the problems too, and I could see them.) I gave poor Earnest a difficult time. I did not want to beleive what he was telling me. I was recently laid off, like so many hard-working, innocent people, and I had no money to spare for this.
I was upset to the point of tears, not knowing what to do. Earnest could not have been more kind and in control of the situation. He assured me that his only agenda was for my safety and he would do what he could to help. Earnest provided me with a good used tire. He repaired the other tire and asked only that I come back to him to purchase the tires as soon as I am able. He didn't have to ask because I wouldn't feel good about going anywhere else.
Ernest Selma is a fine representation of caring, kindness, and customer service. I could not be more grateful to him for his calm handling, generous help, and understanding at my time of frustration and need. Mountain View Tire is fortunate to have Earnest Selma as a part of your team. He is the only person I will be buying new tires from in the future.
Most sincerely, Cheryl P. Foley |

Dear Mountain View Tire,
I have been going to Mountain View Tire in Newhall on Lyons Road for a couple of years now. Troy and his crew are wonderful. They are my good luck charm. I had problems with my rack and pinion steering and, with the help of Troy, I was able to get a Goodyear credit card and have the work done.
Also, a couple of months back, I was in a car accident and I hit a kid's car which popped out my headlights. I called Troy in tears and told him what happened and that I was trying to zip tie my headlights back into the mounts of the truck. I was unsuccessful in doing so. He sent a couple of guys over to me, and they were able to do a quick repair on my headlights. Because of all of their hard work and willingness to help me, I will always go to this particular store to have the maintenance done on my car, no matter where I live. It will be well worth the drive.
Sincerely, Jolyn Bailey |

Dear Mountain View Tire,
I have always been happy with past services I received on my vehicles. Today, I received exceptional services for an emergency window replacement on my wife's 1990 Toyota Camry. I just wanted to thank you all. I visited the San Fernando Road location in Glendale.
Thank you, Ken Huber |

Hello Mountain View Tire,
I was telling Leo Machuca this morning at your La Quinta location that I am relocating to the Washington DC area and I will miss your store greatly. Thank you for the 20 months of great service, and honesty as well. Everyone I dealt with at that location was great. I will miss your service, and can only hope that I find as great a team in DC as I did with you gentlemen. Happy New Year to you all.
Best wishes, Rodney N. |

Dear Mountain View Tire,
Please accept my sincere thank you for the outstanding service from your shop in La Quinta, especially the young man, Leo Machuca. He has terrific customer skills and is very knowledgeable. Moreover, the manager, Jim Mellin, is very good. He runs a great shop. I have all three of my vehicles worked on there, plus I have directed several neighbors to this shop because of the fine customer service. Please pass my comments onto the management team, as well as Leo and Jim at the shop.

To whom it may concern,
I do not usually take the time out to commend someone. However, I would like to point out the excellent service Fernando Meza gave me today at the Montclair store at the Montclair mall.
In a time when good service is hard to find, it is refreshing to have someone who takes extra effort to make sure the work he has done is explained and done correctly. Fernando should be noted for this.

I am absolutely a happy customer. Chris Hurd at the Chino store was very courteous and very, very helpful. He went out of his way to get me a tire on Sunday and to make us happy. I received great service from Chris and I WILL BE BACK to see him for my auto needs. I think Mountain View Tire should be very happy to have such a great employee. I think wherever you live you should drive the extra mile and visit Chris Hurd at the Chino store. I just wanted to pass along what a great experience I had.
Thanx, Mike Sharp |

I wanted to be certain to express how pleased I was with the service and professionalism of ALL your Montebello location personnel. Eddie Reyes was very knowledgeable and pleasant to interact with. He's a "compliment" to the Mountain View operation.

I love the Goodyear Auto Shop located on Town Center Drive in Palm Desert, Ca. I just had a problem with my car and took it there this last Monday around 5pm. I was greeted with a smile by Richard. He took a look at my car, popped something back on, and that was it. He was so friendly and nice, but most of all, trustworthy. I will never go anywhere else. Thank you for hiring this caliber of employees.

To whom it may concern:
After getting stuck with a flat tire on my way to Sunset Beach from Culver City, my daughter and I limped into your Goodyear shop on Stearns in Long Beach. I can't tell you how easy Earnest Selma made our detour. He was not only friendly, but I feel like he gave us a great deal and made me confident that he was looking out for our safety and well being.
Though I didn't have much of a choice of tire shops since I was from out of the area, I feel like there was an angel looking out for me when he made Earnest a part of our day. Please thank him again for us, and know that you have a great employee making friends and good customers for your business.

To whom it may concern:
I would first like to apologize for the delay in my writing this email to you. On September 4, 2009, I visited your [Lakewood] facility to purchase two tires for my vehicle. I just wanted you to know how pleasing my whole experience was.
First of all, Earnest Selma was awesome. He was very knowledgeable, patient, very kind, and he went out of his way to make this transaction happen for me. I truly wish that there was a Mr. Selma at every company I did business with!
Secondly, this is my second time coming into the Mountain View facility in Lakewood, CA and even with the absence of a woman (lol!!!), your facility (i.e. bathrooms and waiting area) is very well kept. Also, on both of my visits, I have had my young children with me and the staff there has always been very pleasant and patient, even while the children are wanting to touch everything!
And lastly, your prices beat all the other companies I called. And,believe me, as a single mother of three, it is very important to be as economical as possible.
Please forward a personal thanks to both Earnest and the store manager Pete. I truly feel safe driving my family in our car. So, again, thank you for the peace of mind and also the wonderful family vacation we were able to go on for the Labor Day weekend, which would not have happened if I didn't get those tires first. You have gained my trust and a customer for life!!!!
Warmest regards, Kimmella Collins |
 To whom it may concern,
I am a new customer and was helped by Earnest Selma last week. I wanted to make sure you know what great customer service I was provided. Besides being friendly and knowledgeable, Mr. Selma offered to keep the shop open a little later to make sure my tires were put on that day.
I will be a consistent customer from now on.
Thank you,
Michelle |

I just want you to know how wonderful the [Upland] store managed by John Meza is. He took my frantic call about a dead battery and my need to get to work on time. Within five minutes, he had called me back, dispatched Joel to jump start my car, and found a battery.
In 20 minutes, I was on my way to work. Granted, I live only 10 minutes away. However, I don't know ANY businesses near me that would have taken that kind of care of a customer.
Thank you, Joel. Thank you, John. Thank you, Mountain View Tire. I will be a returning customer.

Mike,
I wanted to thank you for the upgrade on the tires! They look and fit wonderfully. The staff at the Palm Desert store was great and very helpful. I will be referring many people to Mountain View Tire because of the hospitality you and your staff have shown.
Thank you much and take care, Jon White |
