Mountain View Tire

Decided on (my own, not from MVT) mechanic's advice to go with quality over cost. 2001 Honda Odyssey EX 215/65/16 Goodyear Assurance Comfort Touring with nitrogen inflation. New rear shocks were needed as well. All work done in a very friendly and timely fashion. Very satisfied with the "shop" and will review tires further after driving 1000+ miles. MVT will pressure check and add nitrogen if needed every 5000 miles.

I attend school in Woodland Hills and on my first day of school I had two flat tires. I was in an unfamiliar area (as I am from Oxnard, CA) and called several places to see if they could have someone come out and change my tires and got several "no" answers. I was hesitant to call MV Tires because it is a chain and well known. I called and got the manager Tom Chesney and asked if someone could come out to me and change my tires. He said no, I explained my story to him and he took my number down and said he would call me back. I was thinking "yeah right!" Two minutes later he called me back and said that he would send somebody out to me at NO additional charge.

I purchased two brand new tires (by phone). He had the guy come out and change my tires and advised me to come by the shop after school so they could check my air pressure and make sure I was all set. I did so and I couldn't be more appreciative of the excellent service that I was offered that day. He did not have to allow the gentlemen to come and assist me but he did and if I had 80 tongues, I wouldn't be able to express my gratitude for the two that helped me that day. Thanks and I wish you all the success you could ever imagine in life!

I just moved to the area and didn't know where to go. I knew I had to change two of my tires due to wear and tear. I shopped around from Firestone to Costco and the best price was here. Now, some places were the same price and one was slighty cheaper. But the main difference was ALLEN. He was patient and explained everything over the phone. Even though I can hear a million people in the background waiting to talk to him or talking to him while he was on the phone, he maintained his professionalism and was able to accomodate everyone. Once I got there, he took the time to explain what I was getting and gave me great advice. The no-pressure sales and kind help made the experience worth talking about. Thanks Allen. I get nervous anytime I have to take my car in to the shop. I worry about the quality of service, overstated or inflated charges and the safety of my vehicle. And, since I am a female, I have had occasion to be spoken down to and underestimated. I am so grateful a friend referred me to Al at Mountain View Tire in Tarzana.

Al and his team are friendly, courteous, and professional and they take good care of my vehicle (and me). I don’t worry about leaving my car in their care because they care about their customers. I feel welcomed and respected. After a few visits, I began to feel comfortable that my repairs as quoted were necessary and would be performed correctly and I would be more than satisfied at the end of the day.
