Look at What Our Customers Are Saying!
We're so pleased that so many of our customers take the time to write to us about their Mountain View Tire & Auto Service experience. That confirms for us that we're doing something right.
I dropped in on these guys (Huntington Beach) this morning while Pep Boys was doing an advertised inspection on a car I was thinking of buying that also needed new tires.
They helped me determine some alternative compatible tires that would work for me, AND told me they do FREE "used car, pre-purchase" inspections! Live and learn.
Pep Boys said, "don't buy the car." So, I brought it to Mountain View for a second opinion, and they explained why the problem was to be expected in "old age," not horrific, and helped me understand why buying the car could still be a great decision. And they made exactly ZERO dollars during these conversations.
This is why people develop brand loyalty. GREAT JOB, GUYS! I won't forget it.
Thank you again for having Efrain and Juliana there [in Burbank] to take care of me.
I had an emergency yesterday, a day when I needed to help my elderly mother. The whole team came together to work miracles. They got my car running safely in time for me to do what I had to do. Each one of them is amazing, and they all deserve every compliment I can give.
I'd also like to thank the mechanic who saw that my license plate bulb had burned out, thus saving me a potentially expensive citation.
I hope you treasure your wonderful and competent staff as much as we, their customers, do.
Thank you so much to Mountain View Tire [Eastvale] for their awesome customer service, even to a non-customer!
I picked up a razor blade in one of my tires, and an employee of Mountain View was coming out of Chase Bank. He noticed I was looking at my tires and got tools to help me out.
Thank you so much. I had over 150 more miles to drive and that could have turned out very badly had it not been for you.
I have used this auto service team for about 7 years now. This past week, I brought my 2015 car in with an electronics issue, but, unfortunately, the guys had to send me back to the dealership due to the issue being [about] proprietary software. It was going to be my first visit to the dealership, and I can tell you after comparing services, it will hopefully be my last.
I never want to use a mechanic that isn't from the Mountain View Tustin. I have been so spoiled working with Mountain View Tire! I dropped my car off at the dealership days ago and I still haven't been called. Mountain View is always able to see me the same day or the next, calls as soon as they find the issue, and they fix it after approval shortly afterwards.
I hope if I ever have another car issue I don't have to go back to the dealership. I can hardly stand the difference in service. Mountain View has always made me feel like family, and that's just not an experience that you can get anywhere else. I just had to go somewhere else to realize it.
My car died in my own driveway on a Sunday, blocking the garage. I had a friend come and try to jump it, but it would not hold a charge. I had to have it towed so that we could get to the other car in the garage.
Mountain View (Newhall) was open, so I called and spoke with Leo. When he called me back he said the alternator needed to be replaced, as well as my old battery and the serpentine belt. I am on disability and did not have that much money on hand. He understood, and looked for ways to help me lower the cost. He managed to find a coupon to apply to each of the services and managed to bring the amount down.
I have been to Mountain View before and knew that they do good work, but from now on this will be my only auto repair shop.
Thank you, Leo, for going above and beyond to help me.
Mountain View Tire and Auto Service (Lakewood) fixed my Nissan Sentra from pulling to the left, even though the alignment was well within specification prior to service. The Service Manager, Bruce, is knowledgeable with tires and vehicle maintenance. Mountain View services all my cars and I trust them above the car dealerships.
When the tires on my Ford truck wore out, I went to Mountain View (Lakewood) for the first time. I tow a trailer and got the nitrogen package. I have been there many times to load my tires and they always give me great service. I plan on gettting air shocks for the rear tires soon. Great place, great location and great service.
On December 6, I got notice at 4pm that I was under mandatory evacuation due to the close proximity of the Santa Clarita fire. My family and I had little time to decide where we could temporarily move to. We knew we had to get out of the Santa Clarita Valley, so we opted to pack up our stuff and head out to my parents' place in Pasadena.
A day before this mandatory evacuation, my wife had run over a nail and flattened her tire. We put on the spare tire, but we knew we had to get the original fixed. My wife had gone to one local tire store in the morning, but there was nobody around who could fix it.
That afternoon we got word of the evacuation and we were looking at a hefty trek to Pasadena on a spare tire. We needed to leave to Pasadena, but we wouldn't attempt to without getting the original tire fixed and placed on the car.
Mountain View Tire Auto Service Newhall, located right off of Lyons, helped us out in a pinch.
The store officially close at 6pm, and we got there right at 6. Rather than turning us away, the manager and crew welcomed us in.
The damage to the original tire was extensive enough that I would have had no qualms about purchasing a brand new tire right there on the spot. However, the manager thought the original tire was possibly salvageable and wanted to try patching it.
The patch worked and I saved at least $100. I was impressed by the honesty of the manager and his crew. They could have easily sold me a brand new tire in my desperate situation, but they only wanted to do what was right in that situation.
When I asked how much I owed for the patch on the tire, the manager just waved it off and asked if we could write a positive review about their business.
From now on, any time I have an issue with tires, I am going to Mountain View. They earned my trust and loyalty. They are the best tire store in the valley.
I brought my car to the Mountain View Tire on Magnolia Boulevard in Burbank today for what I thought was just an oil change, but turned out to be much, much more.
This place rocks. I only go to Tom, Ray or Ed to get any work done on my car. Brian is awesome and keeps me updated with how long my car will take to be done.
Great communication, [as] opposed to other independent shops I go to.
I took my car to 3 shops to find out the problem with my check engine light and no one could figure it out until I brought it to Tom. Great place. Great management. Highly recommended.
Their prices and customer service cannot be beat. Robert, the manager, was very professional and he made the whole process (new tires and alignment) an absolute breeze.
He had my run-flat tires in stock and he kept me informed during the entire service. Great service!
Mountain View Tire and Auto Service [Camarillo] is my new "go-to" place for my car needs.
Just tried this company for the first time. Wonderful people!
Our beloved '97 Ford Explorer suffered a metal fatigue fracture on the serpentine belt tensioner, breaking off and rendering the car undriveable.
Of course it was late on a Saturday. We had it towed to their Eagle Rock location. The staff could NOT have been more courteous and attentive, and quick. They had no problem obtaining the (20-year old) part during the weekend, repairing the car, and also replacing all the hoses, and a brake job (which was needed), all in a timely fashion and for less than my regular mechanic, whom I love, would have charged.
Very knowledgeable, honest mechanics, and meticulous work. Car runs like a champ. I would take any of our cars there.
Good and honest service center. Plan ahead, because the quality service is no secret. This isn't Jiffy Lube. It's quality car care. No other place I would trust in and around Corona.
I continue to appreciate the great service I receive from Ed, Charlie, and the folks here.
Mountain View Tire embodies customer service.
I came in initially with my fiancée to get our '05 Dodge Stratus looked at after having it die on us in the middle of a rainstorm. It was on a Sunday, which made the timing even worse due to the limited repair shops open. We towed it over to Mountain View [Camarillo] where we were greeted by Tony. He was very courteous and helpful.
The fix was going to be expensive due to the timing belt snapping and causing valve damage, so we decided to get rid of it. Although we opted out for the repair, they allowed us to keep the car parked there for several days until we could afford to have it towed away.
The second visit was for my car: an '05 Volvo S60. I called Tony at Mountain View because I remembered how friendly he was and knew he would be able to help me out with my flat tire. He offered to fix it within the hour for an affordable rate.
Bottom line is, I've had a great experience using this repair shop and would highly recommend to anyone. Tony is a great asset to the business and I will return for future repairs.
Mountain View Tire [Camarillo] really cares about their customers. Tony, Cory, and Tim were very kind, respectful, honest and knowledgeable.
I brought my VW Jetta in due to my catalytic converter [being] bad and needing to be replaced. It was going to cost me $1,500. But they called around to get better prices and what they did was actually better! They asked the VW dealership if my car was still under the emissions warranty, and it was!
Thanks to them I saved $1,500 and had my catalytic converter replaced at VW with no money out of my pocket. I also had my Toyota Sienna serviced here fast and at a great price! This is the only place I trust my car at and will continue to keep coming here.
Thousand Oaks, CA.
Good afternoon, Oscar.
Everyone was so nice and went way above and beyond to assist me in an unexpected and difficult situation. It’s like driving a new car again. I will definitely return for any future needs.
So I have the worst luck with running over screws. Third tire in 4 months I've had to get patched up. I go in to get this one done [at Huntington Beach] and, unfortunately for me, my tire was so bald they couldn't even patch it. Found out two of my tires were unsafe and needed to be replaced.
As a single mom, panic starts to set it on how I could afford to replace them. Doing both didn't seem to be an option, so I told them to go ahead and replace the one that had air leaking.
Two minutes later, the manager, Robert, comes out, realized it was a money issue, and found a way to lower the price so I could get both taken care of right away. Instantly, relieved my stress! Extremely kind and understanding. Actually, every employee I interacted with was so nice!
Got it done in record time, which I was so grateful for since I had my toddler with me.
Thanks again, Robert! You're amazing and I really appreciate your help! Thanks for making a stressful thing so much easier to deal with.
I just wanted to take a moment to recognize the top notch, HONEST service that I have become accustomed to receiving at Mountain View Tire and Auto Service [Winchester].
Today, after church, I needed gas, filled the tank, and the car did not want to start. It backfired and emitted this terrible black smoke. I finally got it to turn over. It sputtered all the way. The car kept dying at every light and the brake was resistant. I just knew I was in for some major automotive work. My biggest fear was that the engine was blown.
Sam got me checked in and indicated that he had one mechanic on duty, but he would make sure that my vehicle was assessed.
I received a call a few hours later from Sam and was truly expecting the worst news. We had already put $4,000 into a new transmission, and the car still isn't paid off!
Sam explained that it was a minor issue. An air line had come loose and the mechanic had fixed it. He further explained that there would be no charge. I almost cried.
Upon arrival, I spoke to the mechanic. He and Louie assured me that I was welcome to take a test drive, but that he felt the issue was resolved. Sure enough, it was and the car is running fine.
This shop has come to be our trusted source for any auto repair work we need. Thank you, Sam and Louie. Oh, and Robert, too, as he has assisted us numerous times.
Great shop, great service, great guys!
This shop is the real deal. Adam, Steph and Mike provided me with great service late in the day and with wonderful attitudes. I called two other shops before I called this shop and I was told by Mountain View Tire, "Sure, bring it in." The other shops told me it was too late even before I explained the problem. And I had children with me! I was desperate.
When I called Mountain View Tire [Eastvale], Adam answered, LISTENED, and said, "Come on in." He treated me as a peer. Unless you are a senior, you can't appreciate being treated so considerately. I witnessed these men treat everyone the same - with respect.
Not only is my car running great, I found an auto service I can trust and feel comfortable with. These are old-school manners practiced in this shop. I never got the feeling I was bothering them by arriving so late. As a senior, I am thrilled when I find service providers like this. The quality of work is complemented by the staff.
One last thought that comes to mind: after reading previous reviews, why do we pressure mechanics to rush, rush, rush? Shouldn't the priority be on safety and doing the best job to keep us safe? And since they are the professionals and want our return business, shouldn't we accept the time involved? Just saying...
