You and thousands of other customers have helped Mountain View Tire and Auto Service succeed and grow ever since we opened for business in 1987.
And now we've expanded again! Our newest full-service automotive repair center opened in late January 2019. We built it from the ground up in Menifee at 30027 Winter Hawk Road near Newport Road.
You can stop in any day of the week for just about any type of car care, from air conditioning service to wheel alignments, shocks, struts, oil changes, brake and suspension work, engine diagnostics, transmission repair, new batteries, cooling system service and more.
If you live or work in the Menifee area, we hope you'll make Mountain View your source for new tires and complete automotive service. Schedule your appointment here. Give us the chance to show you why we call it “car care with a higher level of care.”
Over those two decades, Marcos has seen automotive technology advance quite a bit. And he and the rest of the Mountain View team have had to continually grow to keep up with those changes. “We’ve definitely seen an evolution in cars during the last 20 years; also, in the equipment we use to repair them and in fluids, like synthetic oils,” he said.
Although he takes on all sorts of automotive maintenance and repair projects each day, Marcos especially loves rebuilding engines. He enjoys helping people get the most out of their vehicles, too. “We suggest to customers which services will keep their car in good shape,” he said. “Sometimes I believe they think we’re just trying to sell them more, but that’s not the case. We’re giving them suggestions to prevent future problems with their vehicle.”
In fact, that’s long been a part of the Mountain View Tire and Auto Service philosophy. We want long-term relationships with our customers, and trust must be at the core of those relationships. That’s why we’ll never recommend a part or service that you don’t need or that won’t help you achieve your driving or car care goals.
And Marcos knows about long-term commitments. His 20-year tenure at Mountain View has allowed him to provide for his four daughters and two sons.
Thank you, Marcos, for your dedication to your Mountain View family and all our customers, too. Happy 20th anniversary.

Owner Nick Mitsos announced in mid-November that, after 11 years, the team will no longer race in the NHRA’s Pro Stock class. Instead, they’ll focus their efforts in the School of Automotive Machinists and Technology (SAM Tech) Factory Stock Showdown, one of the fastest-growing categories of drag racing.
SAM Tech features supercharged 170-mph factory-built race cars from Chevy, Ford and Dodge.
Mountain View Racing crew member Ryan Priddy will take the wheel as the new driver. The team’s Pro Stock car had been driven by Vincent Nobile since 2011.
“I’d like to thank, first and foremost, the Nobile family,” said Mitsos. “It has been a pleasure to race with Vincent and his parents, John and Sue, for the last eight seasons. We shared many laughs, hugs, tears [and] celebrations together.”
Mitsos described the Mountain View Racing team’s Pro Stock run as “challenging and often frustrating, but ultimately very rewarding.”
“We were able to win 13 races and earn eight straight top-ten finishes against the toughest competition drag racing has to offer. We also made friendships and memories that will last forever. I felt the time was right to try something new and the Factory Stock Showdown seems like a perfect fit.”
2019 School of Automotive Machinists & Technology Racing Schedule
Apr 26-28 - NGK Spark Plugs NHRA Four-Wide Nationals in Charlotte, NC
May 17-19 - Virginia NHRA Nationals in Richmond, VA
Jun 7-9 - Menards NHRA Heartland Nationals in Topeka, KS
Jun 20-23 - Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals in Norwalk, OH
Aug 28-Sep 2 - Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis, IN

We’ve opened a second Mountain View store in Murrieta, this one at 41590 Date Street. It’s about a quarter mile west of the French Valley Parkway exit off the 15 Freeway on the southwest corner of Date and Jefferson.
Like our other stores, this location will be open to serve you seven days a week, Monday through Friday 7:30am to 6pm, Saturday 7:30am to 5pm, and Sunday 8am to 4pm.
Our new Murrieta store will be managed by our long-time team member Elio Napolitano. (Read two nice stories that Elio was involved with: Murrieta Neighborhood Comes Together to Help Local Marine and Murrieta: Two Brother Who Had Never Met.)
Thank you for supporting our family-run company and for making it possible for us to grow as much as we have since 1987. We appreciate your business and we look forward to serving you for many years at our newest store.
When Rosalio Hernandez has spare time, he enjoys working around his home and in his yard. Volunteering at church, too.
He brings that same work ethic and desire to help others to his career as an automotive technician at Mountain View Tire and Auto Service in North Hollywood. It’s a career that began on October 22, 1998 - more than 20 years ago.
“My favorite work story is about a customer who came in 15 minutes after we closed,” remembers Rosalio. “She was already late for an appointment, but she needed a tire repaired. Since I was still there, I stayed and performed the work for her, so she was able to get where she was going. She was very appreciative of us helping her after hours.”
“I also like that, when we do a repair for our customers, they have peace of mind knowing that all our work and parts are covered by a nationwide warranty,” said Rosalio.
And even after more than two decades on the job, Rosalio still enjoys learning about advancing automotive technology. “Over the last 20 years, vehicle electronics have become more and more complex,” he said. His favorite type of project, though: “I really enjoy working on vehicle suspensions.”
The Mountain View team is made up of good people like Rosalio, and so many of them have been with us for a long time. That type of commitment and consistency is key to delivering great customer care and building long-term relationships.
Happy anniversary, Rosalio. Thank you for all that you do.

On September 16th, Vincent Nobile and the MVR team won their third NHRA event of the 2018 season. The victory came at the Dodge NHRA Nationals at Maple Grove Raceway in Mohnton, Pennsylvania.
Nobile steered the Mountain View Tire Chevy Camaro down the quarter-mile track in 6.586 seconds. His .013 reaction time off the line gave him the holeshot win over Drew Skillman (.042 RT). Nobile's top speed: just over 210 miles per hour.
This third Wally win matches Nobile's triple tally during his 2011 debut season when he was in contention for NHRA Rookie of the Year. Nobile and the MVR team have now won 13 events.

With two wins after just seven events this NHRA season, Mountain View Racing and driver Vincent Nobile are sitting atop the Pro Stock leader board. We took over first place in points after our May 6th victory at the NHRA Southern Nationals near Atlanta.
“I had the car to beat this weekend,” said Nobile. “I know we didn’t qualify Number 1, but going back after each run and looking at the computer, we knew we could’ve been the fastest car each session. On race day, we got it together and [we were] the fastest car every session. All in all, it was a great day.”
The final round was an incredibly exciting drag race. Nobile and his Mountain View Camaro out-powered his left-lane challenger Tanner Gray, reaching 209.72 miles per hour and beating Gray by just 0.0007 seconds - about three inches. The Atlanta victory is the 12th of Vincent's career since he started racing in the Pro Stock class in 2010.
Have you ever wondered how you’d react to a life-threatening emergency?
Since 1983, Goodyear’s Highway Hero program has been celebrating truck drivers who accepted the challenge before them and took decisive action when lives were at stake.
Frank Vieira of Ancaster, Ontario was on the road near Toronto when he realized that a car traveling in the opposite lane had smashed into a parked truck. The violent collision caused part of the car’s broken steering wheel to pierce the driver’s neck.
After running to the accident site, Mr. Vieira worked to stop the victim’s bleeding by applying direct pressure to the wound. He used his other hand to manipulate his cell phone and call for help.
When the driver of the parked truck approached the scene, he fainted at the sight of the car driver’s injuries. Mr. Vieira then used his foot to move the truck driver’s leg off the road so it wouldn’t be run over by passing vehicles.
Both affected drivers were taken to the hospital and survived.
For his bravery and quick thinking, Frank Vieira was named Goodyear’s Highway Hero for 2018. During a March 22nd ceremony, he received a cash reward, a Highway Hero ring and other items.
