I had a problem with a flat tire about 7 months ago. The "other" tire dealer wouldn't help me with tires that I had purchased from them. At that time, Kyle, Assistant Manager [at Mountain View Tire Granada Hills], helped me and didn't charge me for it. I told him that I would return in the future to purchase tires from him.

Two days ago, I needed to replace my tires. Kyle gave me a good deal on the purchase of 4 new tires. Due to his prior help, I chose to deal with him, even though it would have cost me somewhat less to have gone to the "other" dealer.

It is refreshing to see that, in this day and age, there are places where one can still find a high level of customer service and businesses that understand and value the idea of appreciating and servicing their customers with a high level of professionalism, courtesy, and help. Often times, it is the little things that make the biggest difference. I had a conversation with the manager, Mike, regarding this. I will definitely recommend this dealer to everyone.

Car repairs make me nostalgic for my Boston subway days, but the guys at Mountain View Tire & Service in North Hollywood tried to make the process as simple and painless as possible. I needed new tires and struts to smooth out what was becoming an increasingly rough ride.

Enrique at the front desk and the mechanic, Carlos, helped me to prioritize what could be done now and what could wait. They were mindful of my budget and shopped around to order me the most competitively priced parts. I had done a bit of the same before coming in (and of course called my car-savvy brother and dad!) so I had an idea of what to expect for some of the work. I found the entire staff to be helpful, informative and not pushy, and the work was quick and efficient.

It was a weekday morning and the shop was relatively quiet, so Carlos, Jack and Lee all worked on my car and, including the oil change, alignment and installation of new parts, I was in and out in a couple of hours. My car is much happier and my ride much smoother! I will definitely be back again and not just because my car is getting old.

When I first moved to Los Angeles a few years ago, this was the first place [North Hollywood] I went for an oil change as it was only a few miles away. Since then, I have gone to this place for both vehicles I have owned, and have never had any issues.

The guys at the front are always very helpful and honest people. I appreciate this, as in the past I used to go to Toyota dealerships and always had to deal with saying, "No, I don't need that... No, I don't need this."

I have gotten to know the people who take care of my vehicle, and have grown to trust them as well. I usually schedule a same-day appointment and when I get there say, "Hey, I just need an oil change. Let me know if anything REALLY needs changed" and they make honest suggestions.

I may not be a car guy, but I know if I am being sold something unnecessary. They have never done this to me.

I recommend this place highly: 20-30 minute oil changes, friendly staff and, most importantly, they offer very competitive prices.

I have been having my car serviced here [North Hollywood] for over a year now and I can't give anything but positive feedback. Everyone from the guys at the front desk to the guys in the shop are knowledgeable, helpful and honest. I am not very knowledgeable myself when it comes to cars, so it's great to have people I can trust.

A couple of times I've asked them to check something minor for me - just to be safe - and they did it free of charge. Now that's what I call service!

Oh, and the prices - extremely competitive! I recently needed a new water pump and found out later that another service center wanted about $250 more - just for the part. Need I say more?

He is a super honest guy. The workers are great, and not your typical shop trying to upsell everything on earth. If they say you need an air filter when you go in for an oil change, you probably actually need it! They are quick and really good about time estimation. I wanted to tell you what excellent service I received at your facility. I experienced a blowout in my 2-year old Honda on the freeway. I went to your facility and I met Chris Fasano, the manager who said he could fix me up with a new tire.

After visiting Honda and another Goodyear facility, I came back to Chris whose price and service had the others beat. Jacob Young checked all the pressures and put the jack and the spare tire away properly (the tow guy left it a mess). Jacob also told me to bring my car in once a month to check tire pressure and look for any tire problems.

I am a senior citizen and very much appreciate the courtesy both gentlemen showed. Believe me, it makes a big difference to have someone who really cares help you. Dear Sirs:

We wish to commend Robert Lee of the Mountain View Tire in Palm Desert for his courteous, excellent assistance to us when we had an emergency near our part-time home in Palm Desert late Saturday, 26 June 2011.

We ran over a particularly nasty strip of some material which had two long, sharp, closely spaced nails in an unfortunately vertical position. The nails punctured the tire, partly deflating it.

After having AAA replace the damaged tire with the "donut" spare, we contacted Mr. Lee early Sunday concerning a new Michelin, which he ordered online to be delivered Monday morning. However, the wrong tire was delivered Monday so the correct one was ordered for Tuesday morning delivery.

We had visiting guests and had only one day to take them on our pre-planned trip to the Tram. Mr. Lee was very sympathetic to our problem and he suggested that he loan us a full-size tire for that trip. This solved our problem.

On Tuesday morning we returned to your place of business. Our new tire was installed immediately and we were on our way back to San Diego for our guests to catch the plane for their home.

Service at all times was "over and above." Many, many thanks to Robert Lee and the crew at Mountain View Tire.

I had just taken my daughter to work at the Lakewood Mall, near your [Lakewood] service center. My tire went flat with a POP...and I had my 23-month old granddaughter with me. I drove slowly and a service tech met me and said they would help me inside.

Earnest Selma came to greet me and, right away, he picked up on my emotional state. He explained that my tires were all in need of repair, and when he pointed them all out to me I was overwhelmed. He assured me that everything was going to be okay. He would not turn me away without at least helping me get my spare tire on.

I am retired and a full-time care provider and Ordained Minister on a fixed income. He spoke gently and calmly. Even my granddaughter was happy with his friendly mannerisms, and she said, "Thank you" in her tiny voice. After they started to work on the tires they also pointed out the brakes on the front needed to be repaired / replaced. So Earnest suggested the Mall, but I have some anxiety issues and it was not a good option. He reminded me of the park down the street. All in all, I felt very well cared for. He explained the Goodyear credit program, which I applied for and was accepted. I had been in need of reliable car care service, and Earnest made me feel safe and happy again. Leo Machuca (La Quinta store) is a cut above in getting to know his customers and is knowledgeable in tires and vehicle repairs and servicing. I bought Copper tires for my F350 crew cab in January and was very pleased with his customer service skills, something I think is a lost art and science.

Granada_Hills_Testimonial_ImageEveryone has a story or two about an automotive repair shop! I have many. It's hard to find one that can be trusted to do the work right and do it with integrity. I'm a long-time customer of Mountain View Tire's Granada Hills store (for about 20 years). Last year, I met the owners on site while I was getting my car serviced and had a conversation about the terrific service I have rec'd over the many years at that particular store.

This email is a follow-up on those comments. Mike and Kyle, and the rest of the crew for that matter, have always treated me with respect. They have been friendly, kind and honest in their dealings with me. Mountain View Tire has always done the work and done it right the first time. They're fair and honest and I feel I can trust them unequivocally. I don't have to check up on them to see if they're doing the work I paid for. They don't make up repairs that don't need to be done. Although Mountain View doesn't always have the best prices, it's worth knowing the work is going to be done right, the first time, by competent mechanics.

I would like to pass on a quick story. My daughter (18 yrs old) was going to take our boat to Castaic Lake to go waterskiing with her girlfriends many years ago. After hooking up the boat, I noticed the tires were low on the boat, so I took the boat over to the Granada Hills store. While air was being put in the tires, Kyle noticed that the nuts that went on the u-bolts to hold the axle to the springs were "missing." I had a flash of the trailer coming apart on the freeway, and the entire carload of girls killed in an accident that could have been prevented. Kyle took the time to repair the trailer, right then and there, while I waited. Hence, the girls had a good trip. But the moral of the story is Mountain View had prevented a tragedy from happening.

I share this story to show how the "guys" at the store take care of their customers. They are professionals who do a good job with lots of integrity. I will always do business with Mountain View's Granada Hills store. Thank you, Mike and Kyle, for taking care of my cars all these years!!

I've been going to Mountain View Tire [North Hollywood] for service / maintenance on my car since I've moved out here almost two years ago. The guys have always been so nice. They always explain everything to me and work with what's most important to do right away and what can wait. They have also cut me a deal here and there on labor costs.

I've talked with Beto and Gus and they are both so nice, knowledgeable and helpful. Today they were pretty busy, but my headlight was out. Beto had one of his guys fix it right away with no charge. (I, of course, tipped the guy for his help.)

They once offered me a ride home (even with my huge, hairy dog) and a rental car when the job couldn't be done in the timeframe they originally quoted. I didn't take them up on their offer because they said the car would be fixed [by] early afternoon the next day, I didn't have to work and I didn't live very far. No need to waste anyone's time or money when they are such helpful people.

I don't have much experience with other places out here in the Valley and I'm not sure they are the cheapest, but I'd recommend Mountain View Tire to anyone looking for a reputable place to get work done on their vehicle.
